I am a news junkie with 7 years broadcasting and media experience. I studied Public relations at College Campus and was intrigued by the media aspect of the course and changed career route to study Media and Journalism at Boston City Campus.
I started my career at the South African broadcasting corporation (SABC) as a news intern. This entailed working at different departments at the national broadcaster including SABC Digital Media and TV News. I eventually settled at SAFM where I was a Radio Current Affairs Producer. My duties included researching and preparing content for on air use as well managing the social media pages for all current Affairs programming. In the past year I was part of the team that started the 24-hour news channel, Newzroom Afrika. This allowed me to gain more experience in TV Production.
I also have a keen interest in communications as well as social media management. I am keen to explore different industries as I consider myself a versatile individual. I am highly motivated, honest, expressive and work well with others.

Newzroom Afrika is a 24-hour news channel under the DSTV Bouquet. The channel launched in June 2018. As Part of the team that started the channel my duties included brainstorming and conceptualizing new shows and concepts.
Outline:
At Newzroom Afrika I gained experience as an Executive Producer. I Produced an hour-long Editorial Show titled ‘Editors’ Choice’ this was an hour long programme which was a roundup of the week’s news. The show had different elements which required thorough research and a sound knowledge of news and current Affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize, gather, process and deliver content on variety of platforms
Respond quickly to news and other editorial issues
Research new stories and offer ideas to other departments within the organization
Creative story telling
Produce all segments of the show including outside broadcasts and special broadcasts
