DM Nephrology

Did DM nephrology course from government college MMC (Madras Medical College),one of the prestigious Nephrology institute in South India under the guidance of Prof Dr N Gopalakrishnanan. Hemodialyasis unit at the Institute of Nephrology MMC, provides more than 2000 sessions of hemodialysis per month.Renal Transplant services were started in 1987 and since then more than 2000 patients have undergone renal transplant at the institute.An active deceased donor renal transplant program is also in place.The institute also provide CAPD services,including CAPD catheter insertion and their regular follow up. I had undergone training in clinical nephrology,maintenance hemodialysis,acute hemodialysis,peritoneal dialysis, renal biopsy,tunneled catheter insertion,CAPD catheter insertion,CRRT and renal transplantation ( Live and Cadaveric) during my 3 year tenure as DM nephrology post graduate resident in Madras Medical College.
