In an effort to continue my education in the dental field, I came across your job posting online. I am eagerly applying for the front desk/receptionist position as your office’s values and opportunities for professional development entice me. I have admired the dental field since high school, and I am passionate about pursuing it for the rest of my life. I enrolled in a year-long dental assisting program offered through my high school in 2019. I learned dental terminology and various procedures during the fall semester, and throughout the spring semester I completed a 90 plus hour externship in a dental office. At this externship I briefly used Eagle Dental Software. I am confident on the phone and talking to patients. I believe that through Parkside Family Dental I can expand my dental knowledge and contribute to the team-orientated environment. I would be grateful for the experience to collaborate with others whose goal is like mine, to provide outstanding dental care and a positive patient experience.

August 2017-May 2019. Completed a year-long dental assisting program at the Jordan Academy of Technology and Careers during the 2018-2019 school year. I got the pleasure of serving my class as the dental assistant HOSA president. I coordinated monthly activities for the class and attended a HOSA leadership workshop and weekend long HOSA event. Participated in women’s soccer, cross country, track and field.

August 2019-May 2023. Full-time student at Campbellsville University studying business administration with a minor in Spanish. I completed fall semester of sophomore year and will be taking a break from postsecondary education to pursue a career in the dental field.

Responsible for sterilizing instruments, exposing radiographs, seating/dismissing patients, setting up/breaking down operatory rooms, and assisting the doctor in dental procedures. When mornings were slow, I would stock the operatory rooms and call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
