OBJECTIVE

Continue a successful career in adding value to an organization by leading efforts to reduce incidents, improve employee morale, boost performance, and comply with HSE regulations. EXPERIENCE

Senior HSE Specialist, 10/2012 – 05/2020 for Archrock

• As Safety Rep. to our manufacturing division of oilfield equipment, I specialized in process improvement, compliance, and risk management to include: o Implementing and tailoring our incident reduction program to my facilities by developing sound technical procedures, “to the point” training PPTs, “attention grabbing” instructional videos and streamlining paper/electronic forms.

Result: Three of my facilities went 3 years or more without a single OSHA Recordable.

o Developing, revising, instructing, and tracking courses: ANSI -H2S, Safe Land – Safe Gulf, Smith Driver System and Medic First Aid, OSHA required annual topics, as well as “in-house” forklift / crane / aerial lift programs.

Result: Saved the company more than my salary in external training cost while delivering a more applicable and value-added product; along with consistent documentation that proved advantageous in legal matters and customer audits. o Assessing multiple facilities (50% Travel) for procedural / regulatory compliance then implementing solutions, coaching local management, and tracking progress on circulated spreadsheets.

Result: Eliminated the need of costly environmental/safety consultants and corrected issues before a regulator visit and not after; saving in fines and reputation.

o Managing incidents to include facilitating medical treatment, leading investigations (Taproot System) and developing / implementing / documenting corrective actions.

Result: “Lesson’s Learned” were presented to executives, issues (equipment / personnel / procedures) were promptly corrected, safety bulletins were distributed, and the morale went up while repeat incidents went down. o Instituting key “culture building” phrases in all products and presentations to frontline workers that emphasize ownership in one’s own safety and the safety of their teammates. Also, selling local management that compliance is fluid with other performance objectives and a proactive approach will make their work lives easier.

Result: As the years passed; we had fewer incidents, citations, gaps, audit findings, legal matters, and hectic episodes.

Environmental Compliance Specialist [3-contracts (2- Afghanistan, 1 – Kuwait], 09/2009 – 03/2012 for Envirotech Inc. / Combat Support Associates LTD.
