Through years of acquisitions, Microfocus has grown to be a global enterprise with over ten subsidiaries. As a result, the primary focus for our data warehousing has become systems integration and consolidation. This massive undertaking includes source systems like JD Edwards, Oracle Financial, NetSuite, Siebel, Pivotal and Salesforce; ETL tools such as SSIS, DTS, Cognos, Informatica, Pentaho along with numerous stored procedures, complicated views, APIs and Web Services; target databases in MS SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, Azure SQL Database and Vertica. In data presentation we have Tableau, SSAS, SSRS, Pivotlink and Cognos cubes & reports. All these opportunities have significantly broadened my technical skill set.

Working at Attachmate was my career turning point from application programmer to data warehouse developer. Having built two versions (one in DataStage and one in Cognos) of star-schema data warehouse from scratch, I was responsible for its daily ETL processes and the timely delivery of various executive scorecards.
