I took an active role in the migration of 5000 user Mailboxes from the on-prem to Exchange online for Stanley Black & Decker. I led a team of Microsoft 365 senior Engineers in the initialization of the Hybrid process from planning stage to the designing, configuration, and migration of the project. In this project work, I demonstrated a strong attention to details, making this very involved process a successful, with no negative impact on the user operations.

Accomplishments

Created virtualization environment using Hyper-V for the test environment

Involved in the Planning, documentation and drafting the Project framework for all Exchange/ADFS/Hybrid/Migration related activities including the tools used errors generated, and the methods used in fixing such errors.

Make a prerequisite check of the existing environment (this include knowing how many exchange servers (5), numbers of database (30), how many DAGs(1), number of user mailboxes in the organization (15,000) and how many to be moved, the performances of all devices etc... (all of these is just to make sure that the whole processes are done with no negative impact on the business)

Review the network topology and the existing bandwidth analysis including bandwidth needed for the migration

Verifying the health state of servers to avoid errors in the migration process.

Worked closely with members of the team to create virtual environment for the process for testing purposes.

Prepared the source and the target environment for the Migration.

Validated the Tenants.

Configured the DNS records for public DNS (A-records for MX, SMTP, Mail), (SRV for Autodiscover), CNAME, (TXT for SPF).
