Manager of Application Development
As Manager of Application Development, key responsibilities include supporting Global Securities Investment portfolio in over 40 countries including the development and support of multiple applications related to our Securities Accounting System. Currently lead three Agile Release teams utilizing SAFe to deliver value throughout 10-week Program Increments. Responsible for IT project portfolio of 4 to $5M annually. MetLife Highlights
● Championed the adoption of Agile within Investments - Global Securities Back-Office IT
● Restructured team members into three separate Agile Product teams and re-focused teams to delivery incrementally.
● Spearheaded the use of TFS as our repository for our project’s requirements ensuring all are managed and stored within EPICs/Features in TFS
● Provided training to teams on Lean/Agile/DevOps best practices. Oversaw Global Securities Back-Office IT through Investments DevOps POC
● Managed the migration of all of Securities Accounting applications source code from TFS to GIT meeting all target dates and milestones. All applications have full build and release automation (one button deployments).
● In coordination with the AD Lead ensured that Code Quality mechanisms are in place for each application
(SonarQube) and Unit Tests are being created as part of the normal development process.
● Oversaw the successful completion of over 24 two-week sprints across our Agile. Prior to implementing the new TFS release management system, the total change management process took roughly 16 hours of effort for every release. It is taking about 4 hours with the new system. ● Focused on advanced training for teams including certifications for key roles.
● Introduced relevant Scaled Agile Framework Lean-Agile values, principles, and practices for multi-team efforts.
● Introduced specific program events (ceremonies) and identified roles and responsibilities to execute the program

● Prioritization and estimation with integrated practices were implemented with business partners
● Acquired SPC 4 certification (2/19) and facilitated SAFe for Teams training for approximately 40 team members in preparation of first Program Increment (PI) planning event in May of 2019.

Managed four Scrum Masters and oversaw the strategic and day to day activities of Agile teams throughout the firm. Reported on and improved performance of teams within the Lean Enterprise Agile Framework.
