System simulation “One Day Delivery” (Fall 2020)

The project is based on a company named Price Perfect LLC who distributes general merchandise to many stores. In existing system, the company does not fulfill aim of one day delivery. So, after collecting an existing data a running model of system was created in Arena simulation. So, change in strategies was done and we created a new running model in Arena simulation software and achieved the aim. MS Excel was used for data sheet. Production Life Cycle Management “Hybrid Electric Bus” (Fall 2020) This project teaches the journey of production of Hybrid Electric Bus. System Hierarchy is made which divides project into four sub – systems. System generic view tells about need and output of system. Then after system context diagram and system break down structure is created which divides each sub – systems into different parts. Further, Decision tree, Reliability allocation, Risk Management and simulation of system occurs. Design of Experiments “Application of DOE in maximum kernel cooking by varying factors” (Fall 2020) This experiment was conducted by taking two different observation time (90 & 120 seconds), three types of cooking procedures (Gas stove, instant pot and microwave), for two different popcorn kernel companies (Orville Redenbacher’s & Great Value). Experiment data, Analysis of Variance, Pareto chart, Residual plot for Response, Interaction plot and main effects helped to reach conclusion. Minitab and MS Excel were used for results. Quality Analysis “Reducing call waiting time at call center” (Spring 2020) DMAIC strategy is used which is composed of five advance basic reasoning technics (Define, Measure, Analyses, Improve, Control). After taking the current condition layout of waiting time at call center, fish bone diagram, control diagram, CUMSUM analysis with process capability and at last normal test is performed. All these are also implemented on new data after improving the strategies. Engineering Economics and Cost Estimation “Athletic transportation” (Fall 2019) This project aims to find the most economical, serene, and timely transportation of University of New Haven men's athletic teams (Men's Football, Basketball and Baseball only) by comparing different alternatives like buying, renting, or leasing a private vehicle depending on the teams travelling. We have done Graphical view of data, Statistical test and hypothesis statement, box plot, Two – sample T – test to reach the conclusion. Operation Research Project “Maximization of profit of SIL Company” (Spring 2019) Maximized profit keeping in mind factors such as selling price, demand, amount of ingredients used by company, amount of ingredients needed to make one unit of product, purchase prices. MS Excel Solver was used for calculation purpose to reach the conclusion.

“Automation of VCR-IEC-DEC Hybrid system” (Spring 2018) Automation of hybrid air conditioner by providing sensors which work according to the change in humidity and temperature in the atmosphere and act according to it whether the cooler or AC or fan will work using Arduino. Awards
