Provided the Supply Chain leadership, management, and vision necessary for this start-up, private equity held, company that was selected as the supplier of the LinkNYC communications hub displacing over 6000 pay phones across the 5 boroughs.

Defined and drove implementation of a reverse logistics strategy leveraging a Tier 1 Global 3PL to support the NY Link field deployment stocking spares resulting in better inventory control, reporting, and service execution.

Re-engineered the supply chain eliminating multiple touches by: o Offloading the kitting, packing, and shipping of the heavy installation kits to the installers in the field o Offloaded the Link provisioning/repair of the tablets/displays by shifting this to our CM reducing OPEX 32%

Drove major cost down effort on Link resulting in 21% BOM reduction improving product margin 3%. MRV COMMUNICATIONS, INC., Chelmsford, MA 2013 – 2016 Vice President of Global Operations

Managed Global Teams in California, Massachusetts and Israel supporting five main product lines. Oversaw Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and functions with annualized revenue of $100M and spend of $30M.

Drove 50%+ reduction in Operating Expense over three years by reengineering the supply chain going from in-house procurement and final assembly/test and order fulfillment to a lower cost, fully outsourced and scalable model.

Reduced inventory 50% and improved book/ship inside the quarter by 25% by working closely with Sales, improving the use of Oracle MRP, and establishing a Kanban/CTO model for Carrier Ethernet products applying Lean manufacturing principles.

Improved gross margin by four points in an extremely competitive market, equivalent to a $4M increase in top line revenue, driven in large part by the operational efficiencies delivered through the implementation of the supply chain optimization initiatives.

Initiated the monthly Plan of Record review with each of the major stakeholders (including Ops, Sales Ops, PLM and Sales) with the intent of getting an agreed to demand signal from which we drive supply while making adjustments as necessary to meet the dynamics of the marketplace.

Successfully managed the seamless transition and the consolidation of all global operations into the Yokneam, Israel operation by end of FY16.

Post ARRIS acquisition of BigBand in 2H of 2011, led a team of several professionals, within the Edge Media Processing Division of ARRIS Solutions, that managed the Procurement, CM/OEM Strategic Supplier Management, New Process Introduction and Test and Quality Engineering for the division with annualized revenue of $100M and spend of $30M.

Transferred assemblies from CM partner to insource manufacturing that realized annual savings of $5M.

Fulfilled customer demand to 99% predictability 3 months after transitioning all FGI and planning systems to ARRIS.

Drove HW Engineering and CM partner to achieve 90%+ FPY on recently launched next generation product. Senior Director of Global Supply Chain

Led a team of professionals, located in sites around the globe, that managed the Procurement, CM/OEM Strategic Supplier Management and New Process Introduction for the company with annualized revenue of $200M and spend of $60M.

Championed the efforts to implement a formal Plan of Record forecasting process to drive the supply base.

Led a cross-functional team that identified and drove >15% annualized cost reduction across the products.

Increased supply flexibility and significantly improved inventory turns across Video and QAM assemblies by establishing a VMI program with both Flextronics (Israel) and Benchmark (New Hampshire).

Implemented a weekly forum that would gather and empower all Operations personnel to review the operations performance for the quarter and prior week with emphasis on metrics attainment and supply availability to support the current demand profile based on customer request and potential upside requirements.

Defined a strategy that would fully leverage a CM partner to do full turnkey/direct fulfillment out of a VMI location close to the predominant NA customer base resulting in the lowest total landed cost of ownership.
