PROFESSIONAL SYNOPSIS

A proven Global Supply Chain leader with more than 20years’ of rich experience in Supply Chain Management with World Leader in Cosmetics (L’Oreal : 14 years), World Leader in non alchoholic Beverages (Coca-Cola : 1.75 years) and Innovation led Indian Pharmaceutical Company (Glenmark Pharmaceutical Ltd : >5 years) including S&OP Leadership, end-to-end Planning, entire span of Logistics and Distribution, Customer Service and Vendor Management.

Setup the Market focussed Supply Chain organisation by integrating the markets supply chain and operations supply chain to create a seamless end-to-end supply chain at Glenmark. This new function focusses on Product Availability and Inventory Management. Scope includes 7000+ SKUs, 110 MN USD Inventory and 50 Mn USD spend on Logistics and warehousing globally.

Led multiple Supply Chain transformation projects as listed below.

Distinctive ability of streamlining logistical operations which ultimately led to curtailment of logistics expenses through network modelling across various geographies and organisations. Reduced the Outbound logistics costs from 3.3% of Net sales to 2.6% of Net Sales at Glenmark within 12 Months.

Supply Chain Transformation and Leadership

-Implemented S&OP process in multiple organisations and geographies. Transforming the supply chain design and implementing new processes in end-to-end planning & distribution.

Planning & MIS

-Balance Demand Supply Gaps with S&OP Process: Networking with the production planning and demand planning for determining right availability as per business plans.

-Successfully kick-started the Plant Flexibility project to reduce the plant Blocked Horizon from 2.4 Months in APAC region to 0 Months.

-Setting up new and relevant systems and processes to facilitate smooth information flow. Prepare various entities for an integrated system deployment at the APAC Zone Level.

Warehouse Management

-Designing & implementing warehouse management (Capacity) plans, quantity/ time limits for effective inventory control.

-Expertise in setting up and running large Modern DCs to optimise the Warehouse operations by reducing turnaround time, cost efficiency.

-Budgeting, planning and deploying the funds to help the warehouse organise for right and optimal resources to meet the KPIs

Implemented new and efficient Supply Chain Planning for Asia Pacific Operations

oNew seamless process – reduced inventory for the largest Subsidiary from 94 days to 60 days, resulting in a cash flow saving of 15 M Euro in 18 Months.

oNew tool – improved productivity of the APAC planning team by 25%.

Supply Chain Transformation Project Manager (led two complete Lifecycles)- Distinction of implementing S&OP, Demand Planning, DRP, Net Requirement Calculation, RCCP, multiple Term Production Planning Tools, Production Monitoring Systems for improving productivity and bring consistency.

Successfully functionalised combined logistic operations, which eventually resulted in curtailment of logistics outlay and improved the visibility.

Conceptualised and implemented a light WMS to track and trace the products inside the CFAs and enabled FIFO.

Business Owner of successful SAP implementation team at L’Oreal for MM & SD Modules. Played a key part in finalisation of the processes.

Timely and successful upgradation of the largest and the most complex warehouse for the Indian subsidary to a modern warehouse with a large 3PL with minimal disruption to business.

Established efficient Stores managing Pick and Pack Management with WMS for National Imported Finished Goods Warehouse (2500 SKUs in 500 M2)

Driven a significant inventory reduction program resulting in more than 65% reduction in inventory in 3 years between 2004 and 2007 at L’Oreal and 20% reduction within a year in 2017-18 at Glenmark.

Achieved a condition devoid of stock outs during plant location movement from Umbergaon to Pune at L’Oreal.

Effectively coordinated the launch programme of Low Cost hair Colour Kit (current market leader) and a new range of shampoos in a very short span of time of 3 months (gained significant market share in the Hair Care Market).

IT SKILLS: MS Office, SAP, X3 (Sage), Arete, Automation in Excel using VBA for Excel.
