Design and simulation of radix-8 booth multiplier for signed and unsigned numbers using VHDL

• The booth multipliers are mainly used for the signed bit multiplication. This multiplication will be done by encoding process for reducing the partial product in normal multiplier. Finally, the approximate multipliers are applied to the design of a low pass FIR filter for application and they show better performance than other approximate Booth multipliers. Area of Interest
