Receive product demand data from marketing and sales department Develop a production plan, Coordinate with the production and team.
To interact with the sales team to get quarterly/half yearly product demand data and inspect the product quoted by the sales team. check how much cost and time would be involved in the production process
Ensure that all the information required to develop the plan is available .To identify clearly finished product required by the customer.
Based on the demand requirement, plan the sequence of production activities
Make contingency plans to deal with any delays and identify major responsibilities, tasks and persons in charge at each stage
Identify any delays in production process on time and take corrective actions and involve the production team in every stage of plan development and get their written consent
Interact with the production department from time to time to monitor progress with respect to the schedule
Obtain approval of superior on time inform superior about any possible delays or other issues on time,share the plan with all necessary stakeholders and obtain consent, if needed and receive acceptance from production department on time
Techniques of controlling quality. How to maximize productivity at each stage of production and range of methods, equipment involved in the production process.
To manage and delegate responsibilities amongst others in the team the importance of maintain records and reports of historical schedules
To communicate clearly with members of the shop floor in order to avoid confusion
Educate production team about possible effects of delay in the manufacturing process
