Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Cole LaPointe, I am a recent graduate from the Eastern Maine Community College with an associate degree in criminal justice. I have been involved with my program, serving as a program recruiter at local high schools as well as representing the program in college open house events. Prior to becoming a community college student, I attended the law enforcement program and the outdoor power recreation program at the United Technologies Center.

I believe you will find my skills and experiences applicable to the Security Guard position at the University of Maine Orono campus. My educational background has given me knowledge in laws, rules, regulations, safety, security, and the ability to act appropriately in stressful or emergent situations. While in school, I have worked at Hannaford Supermarket in Hampden, Maine as a produce associate. This has given me the opportunity to develop customer service principles, work independently, and as a team. I have been involved with Boy Scouts of America starting as a Cub Scout finishing with the rank of Eagle Scout. This organization has played a pivotal role providing opportunities dedicated to conservation, the environment, and leadership.
