Project-based learning: ISOLATION OF ANIMAL DNA
Duration: 1 month (April 2016)
The source of the experiment was the goat’s liver. The liver tissue was processed with suitable buffers by which the membrane proteins were degraded and DNA was released. By the sedimentation or precipitation efficiency and electrophoretic mobility of the biological macromolecule, the DNA was isolated. Tender leaves of Solanum nigrum are taken and propagation is done in vitro, using different concentration of auxin and cytokinin. Different concentrations are done to analyze the rate of propagations at those concentrations. Auxin and cytokinin used here are IAA and BAP. After the growth hormones are added, the explants are inoculated. The results were observed. DIETARY POLYPHENOLS IN REGULATING BACTERIAL REDOX HOMEOSTASIS AND VIRULENCE PROPERTIES. The main objective of this project is determining the effect of dietary polyphenols in redox homeostasis & virulence of the bacteria by estimating GSH levels. Bacteria used: Pseudomonas aeruginosa 9027 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa 27853.
