Jan 2016 – Current Working on several small, short term projects simultaneously including a LOTO project, on-site training and continuing as an Adjunct Instructor at the Region VII OTIEC.

Sept 2016 – Dec 2016 Safety Oversight for MARS plant, Topeka Kansas

Day Star Corporation

-The latest project worked is a 150 million dollar expansion of the Mars Candy North American

Topeka, Kansas plant. (Sept. 2016 to late Dec. 2016) Primarily responsible for safety management of

Mechanical Insulators but observed all trades on site and corrected any safety issues. Facilitated

weekly training classes to workers. Completed observation sheets of daily site inspections.

Nov 2014 – August 2016 Director of Safety and Training

-Responsible for maintaining compliance of DOT, DOD, FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), State and local laws. Scope covered 4 states, 5 terminals and 60+ drivers.

-Setup and maintained all Driver Qualification files, served as the “Designated Employee Representative” for the drug and alcohol compliance program.

-Conducted field audits of terminals and drivers for compliance

-Provided field training/annual training for drivers and terminal staff.

Responsible for communicating and enforcing H&S policies of crews working with light gauge metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, stucco/plastering, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS), waterproofing and doors/hardware. Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace, coordinate and conduct on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.

I provide training, inspector and auditor services on construction projects ranging from one day to

multi-months. As an example I worked as a Safety auditor at P&G’s expansion of their amine production facility as one of twelve on-site safety specialist’s used during the project. (Early May to late December in 2000) At the height of this project there were 300 construction workers. As a special note this project had over one million man hours with no lost time to injuries or illnesses.
