WORK EXPERIENCE

Full Stack Developer @ SLU July 2020 – Present

• Developed SLU’s “My COVID-19 Tracker” mobile app and dashboard web app under the guidance of Dr. Flavio Esposito.

• The mobile app allows users to monitor symptoms, find nearby healthcare facilities, and track the spread of the virus in real-time.

• The web dashboard displays key information about the health of the mobile app users with a user-friendly interface, helping public health officials make critical decisions during the global pandemic.

• The app and dashboard also include a contact-tracing functionality to further track the spread in the community.

• The app and dashboard will be deployed by the Saint Louis County to closely monitor the public health of the region.

• Tech Stack: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, React, Flutter, Dart, Node.js, Firebase Teaching Assistant Aug 2018 – Dec 2018

• Contributed with professor in preparing and implementing daily lesson plans.

• Assisted first-year students after class in one-on-one and small group setting, taking notice of students’ individual learning styles and catering to their needs.

Deep learning based Bioinformatic Graphs

• Experimented with a few novel deep learning based autoregressive model packages to generate graphs on datasets in the bioinformatics domain.

• With this approach, we combatted the challenges faced with traditional graph packages with non-unique, high-dimensional graphs and non-local dependencies between edges.

• We applied GraphRNN, an experimental graphing package that trains on a representative set of graphs and decomposes the graph generation process into a sequence of node and edge formations, on COVID-19 TCR dataset.

• The final deliverable was a research article to submit into a venue of a conference or journal along with insightful graph representations of the dataset.

myLib

• Developed a web application using the Flask framework with HTML, CSS, and Python as a content management system for books of various genres.

• Users are able to add, remove, and edit books from a database. Data Intern for STL Box Turtle Project @ Saint Louis Zoo

• Collected large amounts of turtle data (weight, location, temperature, etc.) by tracking box turtles in Tyson Research Center, MO.

• Organized data and analyzed trends using Python’s Matplotlib and Pandas to draw conclusions about box turtles. ResQ (See Project)

• Built a social wellness application using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and GoogleMaps API for refugees of natural disasters and terrorist attacks.
