Professional Experience
Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (LECET) October 2014-October 2019
Complete office work including but not limited to weekly schedules, completing weekly expense reports, monthly mileage reports, and submitting weekly reports for the previous week. Attended and took notes for weekly touch base and brainstorming meetings with the entire department.
Worked quarterly with the Laborers International Union of North America Headquarters in Washington DC on completing market share project tracking reports for the 22 union jurisdictions in Ohio and biweekly beta testing of new mobile applications and websites and trained local union office staff on these programs.
Attended weekly commissioner meetings throughout Ohio to learn more about the projects that are taking place at the local and county levels. Met with state Department of Transportation officials, as needed, to set up joint endeavors to promote work zone safety and distracted driver awareness events.
Assisted local union halls as needed with obtaining project information, including sign-in sheets from pre-bid meetings, project bid results, contract awards, and certified payrolls. Helped with the promotion of local union halls by providing yard signs for members, placing advertisements in local media, and distributing other promotional items by request.
Ohio Laborers’ Fringe Benefits Programs November 2012-September 2014
Primarily processed remittance from signatory contractors monthly to balance it against their monthly contribution reports.
Reviewed audit files, process audit payments or objections, and make sure they are promptly processed and answered. Assure contractors remain current on remitting fringes for all laboring employees.
Use monthly delinquency reports to assure signatory contractors remain current on remitting fringes for all laboring employees before the 15th of the following month. Contact delinquent contractors via phone and mail to collect payment and reports.
Educated newly signatory contractors regarding reporting procedures, delinquency, and other questions regarding fringe benefits reporting.
General Revenue Corporation October 2011-September 2012
I collected outstanding balances owed directly to various Ohio colleges and universities and several vocational and technical colleges by former or current students.
Educated students on the potential effects of unpaid balances such as wage garnishment and set up payments or payment plans to pay off outstanding balances.
Primarily perform outbound calls, using an autodialer system, but also take inbound calls for students who wanted to make payment arrangements.
