Dear Doctors Care Physician Assistant Hiring Director,

Please allow this letter to express my strong desire to be selected for the Physician Assistant position that was recently showcased on Indeed.com. I’ve recently relocated to the Upstate area after practicing as a General Surgery Physician Assistant at a high-volume Regional Hospital in Statesboro, Georgia for the past two years. During this time, I have not only acquired a diverse set of surgical skills, but have assessed a variety of patients in need of urgent/emergent medical and surgical interventions. It has been throughout these stressful and challenging patient encounters where I feel as if I have found my true calling in healthcare. It is my personal mission to positively impact the lives of those around me, not only in my patient care, but in my interactions with my co-workers and visitors of the hospital. Thus, I believe that my empathetic and compassionate approach to practicing medicine will add value to the services already provided at Doctors Care.

In my most recent role as a Surgical PA, I was privileged to work with several amazing and talented surgeons on many critically ill patients requiring complex surgeries. Daily, I served as first assist in the operating room, performed inpatient rounds, and conducted both emergent and non-emergent perioperative patient examinations. Additionally, I have specialized training in inserting central lines and temporary dialysis catheters, complex wound closure techniques, performing surgical wound debridements, and inserting and managing surgical drains, chest thoracostomy tubes and nasogastric tubes. Therefore, given my professional qualifications, quest for excellence, and tireless work ethic, I am confident that I will be able to add to my existing skillset and transition to the Doctors Care Team harmoniously.

I believe that my respectful and kindhearted personality, coupled with my diligent and dependable work ethic, will allow me to enhance the productivity of the team, and contribute to the goal of providing top-notch comprehensive healthcare. Furthermore, my team-orientation and well-rounded professional experience will allow me to establish seamless working relationships with fellow providers and permit me to perform at the peak of my medical license.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I am excited for this opportunity and look forward to meeting you for an interview.

Very Sincerely,

Kathryn L. Hilovsky, PA-C, MPAS, MS
