Take-off accurately quantities for Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical in a logical sequence and to the office standard methods of measurement fully describing and representing the quality and quantity of work to be carried out.

Describes the items of work in a suitable order under a work section heading for inclusion into Bill of Quantities and Schedule of rates.

Co-ordinates with all disciplines to obtain further clarification or missing information.

Perform assignment completely and within budgeted man hours.

Assist the Department Head in final quantity check on completion of the tender documentation.

Assist the Engineers to measure and maintain records of percentage completion of activities of contract works for progress monitoring.

Provide assistance to Project Manager on contractual issues.

Check and review variation order submitted by the contractor and recommend to client approval.

Check the contractor submitted calculation for quantities and costs of all the works completed at the end of each month on prescribed payment certificate.

Check the rates and prices of the certificate in accordance with the priced bill of quantities, if the contract is based on unit rate. In case of lump sum contract only percentage of items completed to be checked for evaluation.

Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates of the new proposed projects.

Prepare actual materials measurement of progress work for payment purposes.

Prepare monthly valuation applications in time and maintain interim and final payment / quantities calculations.

Prepare monthly financial reports and project cash-flow chart.

Perform cost analysis and draw up reports on changes to Works and contractor claims.

Finalize the Project Final contractual Accounts. 3. Saudi Binladin Group – Special Building Division, Estimating Department Office Quantity Surveyor from February 1990 to October 1993 Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare various Quantity Surveying documents including quantities measurement, budgetary estimates, Bills of Quantities for all disciplines and Costs Estimates based on approved Design drawings, detail Standards and Specifications.

Prepare comparison sheet for price evaluation and make recommendation to the Project Finance management.

Prepare quantities in detail to the needs of the Infra Schedulers program in order to allow resource loading of the infrastructure construction schedule.

Prepare inquiry for materials cost and send to the different materials supplier for quotation.

Coordinate with the supplier for material fabrication and its delivery schedule.

Prepare variation orders through site visits to record information on claims/variations.
