Mechanical Engineer Design

Nature of Work:

Setup drawings and make it ready for team to work on.

To liaise with design teams and MEP sub-contractors.

Ensure MEP sub-contractors receive the information needed to progress the MEP installation in accordance with the programme.

Organize and chair weekly co-ordination meetings with the MEP sub-contractors and design teams

Coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements and in conjunction with other discipline.

Preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings for all disciplines like Mechanical, Piping, Plumbing, Electrical & Fire fighting.

Participating in site inspection, testing and checking on progress with client.

Design & drafting of HVAC system such as pipe sizing for chilled water, heating water system & Equipment selection.

Co-ordination with other Civil, Electrical & Mechanical service drawings, as built drawing as per site condition.

Coordinates design work with related engineering disciplines. Attend job and construction meetings and participate in the coordination of the work.

Attend project team meetings as required

Track the progress of MEP sub-contractors against the main programme and report any variances to the Contracts Manager

Liaise with the utility suppliers to arrange for power, gas and telco connections

Provide the project team with up to date information on current MEP developments

Carry out site inspections of the MEP works to ensure the installation conforms to the relevant standards

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Design & Documentation)

Ensure all technical documents, such as reports, drawings and blueprints, are collected and registered in system.

Print and distribute documents as necessary.

Review and maintain the accuracy of the records, editing where necessary to ensure they are up to date.

To liaise with and distribute project related information with all levels of the project team and potentially external parties.

Copying, scanning and storing project related documents.

Checking for accuracy and editing files, for Technical tender related documents.

Reviewing and updating technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows)

Retrieve files as requested by employees and clients.

Manage the flow of documentation within the organization.

Coordinate the production of As built drawings and O&M Manuals documents at practical completion

Coordinate training for the client with the MEP contractors at practical completion
