Being a textile designer from India, I have

experience in working with artisans at the grass

root level using traditional techniques like

my knowledge of textiles in a multidisciplinary

context, be it in making products or applying

it in spaces. My strength as a designer is to be

creative and also pragmatic, therefore my work is

a combination of creativity that is very grounded

in the practicalities.

Freelance Designer - (Present)

Designed a range of the home furnishing collection for RK Exports, Karur which were exhibited at Honk Hong Textile Fair 2018. Developed a collection of baby wear and accessories for the brand Avytva, Chennai.

Created original print designs from concept to full print and coloration for the brand Merasal, Chennai.

Designed a range of handbags ( WOMEN ) in association with CLRI

(Central Leather Research Institute).

Developed a collection of tablelinen for FabIndia. Conceptualized the website layout and product tags in align with the company’s story.

Initialized the social media promotion through Facebook and Instagram. Detailed study was carried out on the existing products and e ective value additions were suggested.

Handled sourcing of handicrafted products from various artians across India.

Was responsible for the developmental of rug collection from inspirational concepts, trends, color direction to sample development with extensive researching in current home and color trends in the markets. Carried out photoshoot and styling for various products to be used in their product catalogue and as a marketing material.

Created original print and woven designs from concept to full print and coloration for the brands home furnishing collection. Developed a range of the table mat collection made using the most abundant and locally available natural materials and executed catalogue design which were displayed at NY Home Decor Exhibition held at New York during August 2015.

Detailed study was carried out on the existing techniques used in the product development and new techniques for product development were suggested.

Carried out photoshoot and styling for various products. Executed Project on the topic “ e Digital Printing Machine Promotion” at Alok Industries.

Secured Diploma in Advanced Techniques of Textile Industries awarded by e Textile Institute, UK.
