I am a self-motivated engineer with a positive and friendly attitude. I am a forward thinker, capable of planning ahead of the schedule and always devoted to the task in hand. I have previously worked in a fast-paced environment and learned various skills such as engineering design and analysis, prioritising tasks, time management and teamwork.
MSc. Advanced Structural Engineering
Edinburgh Napier University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Jan 2019 to Jul 2020
I have studied core modules which includes: Advanced Structural Concrete, Structural Dynamics
& Earthquake Design, Advanced Structural Steel Design, Geotechnical Earthquake, Advanced Materials & Finite Element Analysis and Dissertation: “Emerging Technologies and Materials for the Seismic Protection of buildings”. I performed Response Spectrum and Modal Analysis on a multi- storey building using CSI ETABS. Two different end supports i.e. Fixed Base and Isolated Lead Rubber Bearing (LRB) base were used in the ETABS models. LRB used in the computer model was designed using UBC-97 design code. Storey shear, storey displacement & storey drift were compared in order to study the use of earthquake resistance technique of base isolation i.e. LRB. Use of LRB showed better structural behavior as compared to the fix base structure. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
The University of Lahore, Lahore, Pakistan.
Sep 2013 to Oct 2017
Key subjects which I studied during bachelor degree are: Engineering Materials, Structural Analysis, Plain and Reinforced Structures, Engineering Mechanics, Steel Structures, Geotechnical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Structural Engineering, Mathematics, Hydraulics
& Irrigation Engineering, Structural Analysis, Transportation & Highway Engineering and Project “Improvement of Collapse-able soil using cement”. Different material properties of the soil samples i.e. cement mixed and unmixed soil samples were compared. Soil sample mixed with cement showed better results, in term of shear strength when compared to the actual soil sample which had no admixture in it.
