Profile

I was part of a Quantum computing StartUp as a computational chemist, where I gained skills around Quantum software and made use of: Qiskit,OpenFermion, OpenQASM, IBM Q Experience. Computational Scientist with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Skilled in Python, Scilab, Quantum Computational Chemistry and Git..The research approach included new methods development as well as usage of the already existing ones. I would love to be part of this project exploring the cutting-edge tech of quantum computing and be part of the development of new algorithms which will lead the way to the commercialization of quantum computers. Work History

Quantum Simulation Chemist Feb 2019 – Jun 2020

PiDust Quantum Computing

● Design of new quantum circuit algorithms to solve the electronic Schrödinger equation.

● Embedding of these quantum circuit algorithms within high per-performance hybrid (quantum/classical) workflows to address large-scale chemical systems

● Deployment of these hybrid quantum-classical workflows to solve critical domain problems in industrial chemistry applications.

● Experience in quantum computation and variational quantum algorithms, such as, QAOA and VQE Junior Research Assistant Sep 2017 – Dec 2018

Nanomaterials Group

● Experience using high-performance computing (HPC) environments, MPI, and UNIX

● Experience in using/writing MATLAB/python/Fortran codes or equivalent code

● Computational chemistry approaches such as density functional theory (DFT)

● Developing these results into publications to inform the broader scientific community through peer-reviewed journals.

Published Research

● Computational Chemistry on Quantum Computers: Ground state estimation We have used the Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) algorithm to extract the ground state energies of these molecules. This energy data represents the expected ground state energy that a quantum computer will produce for the given molecules, on the STO-3G basis. see publication

● Linear and nonlinear optical properties of ZnO/MgO core/shell and inverted core/shell quantum dots

We have performed a theoretical study of the linear and nonlinear absorption coefficients as well as the refractive index changes for the intersubband transitions in ZnO/MgO core shell (CSQD) and MgO/ZnO inverted core shell quantum dots (ICSQD)

see publication
