Clinical Experience
University of South Florida- COVID Telehealth Spring 2020 I worked with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, medical residents, and nurse practitioner students to care for COVID positive patients. Using Masimo monitoring technology I monitored patients, performed assessments through telehealth, and developed plans of care accordingly. Tampa Family Health- Tampa, FL Spring 2020
Under the supervision of my APRN preceptor I participated in the primary care of patients ages newborn through geriatric. I also participated in the care of indigent patients on the mobile medical bus. My duties included assessment, diagnosis, medication and treatment prescription, and documentation. This is a FQHC clinic that specializes in serving underserved and uninsured patients in the Tampa Bay Area. Average patients seen per day: 15-25. Florida Medical Center Dade City- Dade City, FL Fall 2019 Under the supervision of my APRN preceptor I participated in the primary care of adults through geriatric patients. Assessment, diagnosis, medication and treatment prescription. Also performed joint injections. Performed Medicare annual assessments .Gained experience with managed care health plans and eClinical works. Average patients seen per day: 15-20.
Pulmonary and Sleep of Tampa Bay Summer 2019
Under the supervision of Dr. Dragos Zanchi, I participated in the care of patients with pulmonary and sleep disorders. Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of sleep apnea, COPD, asthma, and interstitial lung diseases. Skills learned included interpretation of pulmonary function tests and poly-somnography studies. Average patients seen per day: 30-40.
USF Pediatrics at Tampa General Hospital Spring 2019 Under the supervision of my APRN preceptor, I participated in the care of newborns. Duties included assessment, diagnosis, ordering of medications and treatments as well as newborn screenings. Average patients seen per day: 15-20.
