ONEgeneration – Intergenerational Foundation (May, 2019-September, 2019) Director, Human Resources

Responsible for the overall management and operations of human resources for the organization which has a childcare center, an adult day care center, and a senior enrichment center. The organization has 150 employees which included nurses, teachers, and drivers.

Handle every aspect of Human Resources which entailed:

Salary administration, benefits, 401k administration, strategic planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, safety of the workforce, training, personnel policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance.

Auditing and paying insurance invoices

Leaves of Absence, disability and worker’s compensation

Facilitator in resolving conflicts and provider of sound counsel to employees and managers on sensitive issues

Develop and oversee employee recruitment, hiring, orientation, development and training

Terminations including COBRA administration

Resource for legal issues to ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.

City National Bank/City National Rochdale Wealth Management (RIA) (January, 1982-April, 2018) Senior Vice President/Director Investment Relationships (June, 2012-April, 2018) Manage the West Coast Client Service Department for City National Rochdale. Responsible for offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and La Jolla. Service 2100 accounts with AUM of $7.1 billion. This group consists of 7 Relationship Advisors, 2 Relationship Advisor Associates, 1 Team Lead, 2 New Accounts Specialists and 5 Processing Associates. I am directly responsible for 254 accounts with AUM of $1.8 billion. Senior Vice President/Regional Trust Manager-City National Bank (December, 2009 – May 2012) Responsible for the overall management of four of the seven trust offices. Responsibilities have remained the same as my previous position with the exception of the added regions and the management of accounts where City National Bank acts as Trustee.

Directed, coordinated and oversaw all aspects of client relationships for managed agency accounts. Grew the department from 4 to 19 team members servicing over 1200 investment accounts with AUM of over $4 billion. Approved account acceptances, annual administrative reviews, and discretionary distributions as a member of the Trust Administration Committee. Responsible for hiring, counseling, mentoring, and terminating colleagues. Supported business development efforts within the division. Member of Trust Investment Committee. Thought of as the “go to person” for the division due to my Operations and Administration experience. Vice President, Senior Trust Officer, Team Leader (June, 1996 –February, 2005) Wealth Management Relationship Manager responsible for the administration of 550 accounts with a combined market value of $4.8 billion. These accounts consisted of Common Investment Funds, Managed Agencies, Custody, State & Local Agency Pooled Collateral, Retirement Plans, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Family Foundations, and Worker’s Compensation Collateral. Oversaw the receipt and maintenance of accurate documentation for the accounts to ensure overall compliance with bank audit and regulatory requirements including BSA & KYC. Identified opportunities for additional business or account upgrades. Assisted with, and attended, sales calls in order to provide technical advice. Managed holding escrow services offered by the Division. Routinely recruited to attend meetings or be a member of a task force in order to implement new products or improve existing policies and procedures. Vice President, Trust Operations Manager (January, 1984-May, 1996) Responsibilities included the management of the Support Staff for the Wealth Management Division. This included the trade settlement, income collections, corporate actions, fees, installment notes, certificate of deposit, mutual funds, data entry, and the balancing and control units.
