CAREER SUMMARY
Extensive work in unconventional plays in the U.S., Argentina, and Saudi Arabia. I understand their behavior, can identify flow regimes, and how to adapt estimation methods to capture correct forecasts. I have worked on probabilistically estimating volumes, implemented advanced statistical analysis, analyzed well spacing, ran economics, am experienced in programming, and machine learning. In consulting, I worked to ensure that the results captured consulting clients’ needs. Understanding of PRMS guidelines and SEC rules, and how to track Reserves and ROTR through the life of a project. In addition, I have experience with public speaking, with writing technical papers, and communicating effectively with people of different backgrounds.
EXPERIENCE
Reservoir Engineer Advisor, USI Technology, Houston, TX May 2020-current
Helping to solve underperforming infill well production by optimizing well spacing and reducing fracture interference for wells in the Permian and Delaware Basins. Not only increasing production but also increasing profit (NPV) for clients' unconventional projects.
Helped secure five new clients in one month through private events and public series, focused on maximizing infill well production and increasing NPVs.
Cross-functional team leader of developers and engineers, working to build a machine learning version of USI's software that will optimize customer experience. This innovative version of the software will provide customers with almost immediate forecasted results for their unconventional primary/infill wells.
Lead author on technical papers based on the work done for our clients, presenting at the SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Symposium in 2021. These papers were accepted based on the work done with USI since starting with them in May.
Reservoir Engineer Contractor, Gryphon Oil & Gas, Houston, TX May 2020-August 2020
Evaluate accuracy of Gryphon's MCMC hydrocarbon forecasts by hindcasting, using Python, SQL, and git repository
Reservoir Engineer, Pioneer Natural Resources, Irving, TX May 2019-August 2019
Created a tool that probabilistically forecasts current oil and gas PDPs and PUDs and calculates the well economics
Teaching Assistant, Texas A&M University, College Station TX August 2012-present
Taught undergraduate and graduate level courses: focus in reservoir engineering, ML, software training, and Spotfire tutorials
Consulting with Dr. W. John Lee, College Station TX April 2017-May 2019
2018–2019: Unconventional Reserves Progression Project for YPF
Reserves estimations in shale plays, probabilistic analysis, tracking Reserves of YPF’s unconventional plays following PRMS and SEC guidelines
2017–2018: Unconventional Reserves and Resources Management Project for Saudi Aramco
Reserves tracking of Saudi Arabia’s unconventional plays, explanation of when to use different estimation methods, software testing to capture unconventional Reserves using field data
Reservoir Engineer, Energean Oil & Gas, Athens, Greece May 2016-August 2016
Probabilistic reserve estimation of the 11 offshore wells of the Prinos Field near Kavala, Greece
Mentored the undergraduate interns in basic reservoir engineering, Excel, FEKETE and MBAL
Reservoir Engineer, TOTAL E&P USA, Houston, TX Summers 2008, 2009, 2010
Data collection and management of TOTAL’s offshore GoM wells (2008/09) and their Barnett Shale wells (2010)
