Currently, my primary duty is to maintain an IBM I Series and 14 MS SQL database servers while supporting the Human Resources and Finance departments’ daily operations. Another one of my responsibilities is to input/export data for vendors to implement crucial COVID19 safety standards for a safe and healthy return to school for our 70,000 students and 10,000 teachers. As a team lead, I was responsible for project facilitation and management, Recent projects include; created a helpdesk app for the district’s 15,000 Android tablets distributed to all GCS middle school teachers and students. I have updated a custom build helpdesk application saving the district $7500. I created a web application for the finance department to process employee reimbursement obtaining the mileage from Google Maps. I am also responsible for developing web-based database applications for Human Resources, Maintenance, Transportation, Technology Servers, Public Relations, as well as 212 schools in the district; using ASP.net VB.net, C#, jQuery, JavaScript, and CSS. I am responsible for the rewrite of multiple WebSphere/Java applications for the IIS/.net platform. I create and maintain the district’s database systems, including SQL Server and DB2. Other duties include performance tuning and monitoring, database backups/maintenance plans, database, table, stored, procedure, trigger, view creation and modification, DTS to import and export data from/to external sources. Advise/brief Senior Staff on project Status, prospective projects, vendor proposals, and development tools. I mentored junior developers on district development policies and district development tools.
