1.) Ore Extraction Engineer ( Draw Control & Engineering Department )

• Monitor the open pit surface backfill operation to control water inflow underground.

• Control the drawing of broken ore reserves underground based from surface subsidence and assay value of mineral contents.

• Grab sampling of ore minerals from the draw points and sampling of waste from the tailings dam disposal.

• Interface with mine, engineering, mill and geology departments on the safe excavation and production of copper ore without sacrificing safety and costs.

• Conducts departmental safety meetings with both surface and underground workers.

• Attends and conducts Central Safety Council meetings with Supervisors and Managers.

• Conducts “PEP” (people, events, places) talk regarding safety with employees in my shift. 2.) Ore Block Development Engineer (Mine Department )

• On the job training with the Miner as miner helper to learn the actual rock drilling, loading of explosives to the drill holes, and blasting procedures.

• Installing ground supports such as timbers, shotcrete, and rock bolts based from standard operating procedures.

• Involved in the preparation of the ore block for caving method using electric blasting, and loading of ammonium nitrate fuel oil (ANFO) to “jumbo drill holes”.

• Implements and enforce safe operating procedures to all personnel underground regarding mine ventilation, ground support, equipment performance, scheduled breaks

• Assists Bureau of Mines personnel during mandated mine inspections. 3.) Copper Concentrate Shipping Superintendent.

• Continuously monitor the quality and quantity of copper concentrate as per specification of the client during the shipping operation of copper concentrate to local ports, Japan and other overseas ports.

• Quality and Quantity control involves sampling, testing, assaying, and other laboratory methods using personal protection equipment.

• Interfaced with local Ports Authority and the nearby community during scheduled shipping operations.

• Maintained the tugboats, shipping yards, conveyor lines using the appropriate personal protective equipment.
