Responsible for all the operational and administrative tasks (Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Transportation, Maintenance, etc.) for the Lighting Components and Design DR Facility located in the San Isidro Free Zone. This plant was producing electrical harnesses and plastics parts (thru Injection Molding) for Automotive American Industry. We had over 12 injection molding machines and we adopted LEAN Manufacturing to reduce change time of mold's decreasing injection molding downtimes. This LEAN Manufacturing implementation improved molding machines' production outputs, complying with the “on-time” delivery goal with our internal/external customers. Also, we had developed a maintenance strategy to reduce the downtime of all injection molding machines and testing fixtures. Tyco Safety Products.

I led manufacturing supervisors and maintenance technicians, achieving Production and Engineering goal at Tyco Safety Products (Dominican Republic Manufacturing Plant). Also I was in charge of manufacturing department, establishing appropriate priorities to provide operating result reports. My team was the responsible for completion of jobs scheduled and on time delivery to customers in Atlanta, GA and Puerto Rico. We implemented the MP2 (maintenance software) in DR facility to setup a formal preventive maintenance program, reducing the downtime in the rotaries assembly and in the high-speed wiring processing machines. This software implementation allowed DR facility achieve delivery goal. Also, I led the process of optimizing all assembly areas and worked on the validation of new equipment and processes. We used the Lean tools in the manufacturing areas to improve efficiency in all areas.

I was the head of quality department of Tyco Safety Products (Dominican Republic Facility). We gave to manufacturing lines strategic supports by periodic audits in process, to controlling and guiding them to a continuous process improvement. Our team recommended the implementation of alternatives to improve production methods by using "POKA-YOKES" assembly fixtures, new equipment, better operating procedures and better working conditions. Also I led the implementation of controls charts and ISO standards procedures to comply with internationals standardization norms. Our quality team reduced the DPMO (Defects per Millions) from 100K PPM s to 3.5K PPM s in less than six months.
