As a scholarship assistant for the Mat-SU Health Foundation, my main responsibility was to complete tasks and projects for the Program Officer using Blackbaud Grantmaking, Excel, Word, and other office equipment such as copier/printer, laminating machine, and phone. Some of the tasks and projects would range from transferring documents, updating the status on recipients, reconciling the check register, mail-merging hundreds of recipient's names and addresses to documents using Excel and Word, and flow charts with other type graphics. I created updated lists of organizational contacts from asset mappings and workforce development to scholarship resources and demographic mapping. It was a lot of cross-checking and confirming nearly 1600 documents dating back to 2000 to compile enough data of over 1300 recipients. On a personal note about this position, I enjoy having the answers at my fingertips and helping people look for them.
