I conducted independent research and analysis for the Council. I also tracked bills during legislative session and completed bill analyses. I wrote correspondence to lawmakers and agency staff on behalf of the Council and its members. I worked with other organizations, including state agencies, to implement and ensure compliance with new rules and laws. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I tracked ever-changing state and federal requirements and kept our members up to date. I served as the state captain for the 2020 Community Behavioral Health Hill Days, coordinating with our members to ensure they were prepared to advocate to federal lawmakers. I also represented the Council in front of House and Senate committees, voicing concerns of the Council by giving testimony. I created committee hearing agendas, bill analyses, and bill reports, maintained confidentiality, provided administrative support, tracked bills, and maintained and archived files. I was the liaison between committee members and committee staff, and other legislators, lobbyists, media, and the general public. This experience allowed me to build professional relationships with committee staff, legislative staff, agency staff, and legislators.

MASTER’S IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION • THE EVERGREEN STATE COLLEGE As part of this program, I successfully completed Advanced Research Methods, focusing on quantitative and qualitative data analysis using Excel and SPSS to analyze large sets of data. I wrote white papers, a non-profit business plan with a budget, strategic plans, and multiple grants, both individually and in teams.
