Managed the engineering team responsible for IONA's Enterprise Service Bus product, Artix, based on a Service Oriented Architecture and Web Services. Artix supports integration of disparate middleware technologies without introducing a middle-tier between clients and servers. Interfaces were defined as web services, and language bindings were offered in both Java and C++. Middleware technologies supported include SOAP/HTTP, CORBA, JMS, MQ-Series, Tuxedo, and Tibco.
Also managed IONA's initiative to develop an Open Source Enterprise Service Bus known as Celtix.
Previously (2001 - 2003) managed the engineering team responsible for all C++ components of IONA's CORBA product known as Orbix. Joined IONA as a Principal Software Engineer, tasked with leading the implementation of a CORBA-based Notification Service.
