This process will include the discovery of existing license and certification requirements as well as obtaining copies of the documents. The Job Code related License and Certifications has to be seamlessly copied to the Person Profile. The User Profile Security has to be given to certain employees only to access the setup and the Process Pages. Multiple Reports has to be developed using the Query Reports to verify the Process updates.

Project Description

World Bank Group is migrating from CDS(Common Data Structures) to MDM(Master data management). MDM is an informatica data repository where all the data related to Organisation, Conversion rates etc., is stored. Peoplesoft was initially using CDS as the data source in HR, Payroll, Benefits and Tax. The current project was to maintain the same record structures and with minimal impact on the existing systems transition from CDS to MDM. Built a custom bolton utility to consume the MDM provided webservices as a batch process with recurrence to seamlessly convert the data and consume in peoplesoft.

Tax- Simplification Phase II has multiple customizations like Tax Direct Remittance and Tax Authorization.

Direct Remittance: The World bank Group Has tax emption from the IRS. So, the WBG Employees does not owe taxes to IRS instead IRS tax is paid by WBG. Since this was manual process, This Project attempts to automate the tax payments to IRS directly.

Tax Authorization: WBG has a complex way of paying taxes to IRS. Some of the employees could not give much attention to the tax payments so there was a organizational level program to verify the tax payments done to IRS. So this project attempts to collect some information from the employees and checks with IRS via a complex integration the Tax Return Details against the Tax system with in WBG. It tries to highlight the conflicts to make the employees cognizant of their amounts pending at the IRS due to various reasons

Project Description

Currently, the UK tax allowance in WBG is processed manually within Excel spreadsheets by WBG-Tax Office, which is time consuming and prone to errors. Staff must provide proof of UK nationality and UK tax residency in order to qualify for the UK income tax allowance. The Tax Office calculates the gross income for eligible staff, inclusive of the tax allowance, and provides the income to staff to report on the UK tax return. Once the tax return is finalized, the staff must provide a copy of the UK tax return reporting the gross WBG income to the Tax Office for verification. The Tax Office reconciles the final calculation, based on the staff’s final tax return, to pay any underpayments or collect any overpayments of the tax allowance. The overhead and the turnaround time for each application was not feasible with the increase of London office staff. Automating the process has become imperative in order to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

The purpose of this UK Tax System bolt-on is to capture all UK Income Tax Allowance requirements needed to design, develop, and deliver all processes and systems necessary for a smooth and effective rollout of an automated UK tax allowance system.

Project Description

U.K. National Insurance Contributions (NICs) are paid by employees and employers, as part of the U.K. National Insurance system, to fund the costs of social benefits paid on account of illness, unemployment, retirement and other covered events. Due to the immunities of the Bank Group organizations, NICs are assessed only on WBG staff, and the organizations are exempt from employer contributions.

Since the UK tax authority has started to require non-UK staff members located in UK to make NIC payments, to the extent non-UK /non-permanent national staff are assessed the NIC, the Bank Group will provide a special NIC allowance. This Procedure establishes the conditions for the payment by the Bank Group of allowances for the purpose of advancing or reimbursing retroactive and/or on-going payments of United Kingdom (U.K.) National Insurance Contributions (NICs) for service with the Bank Group, based on assessment by the U.K. tax authority (Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, or “HMRC”), as approved by the Manager, Compensation and Benefits.

The WBG’s new business model and strategic goals increase the need for operational capacity outside of Washington, D.C. However, the review demonstrated that mobility support has not kept up with the pace of change, and there is now a need to develop a mobility support framework that facilitates the deployment of the right staff with appropriate skills and experience to where they are best suited and most needed, in a timely, cost-effective, and sustainable manner. Despite periodic reviews of individual assignments and related benefits, there has been no holistic review to evaluate all mobility benefits collectively.

This complex framework has created administrative and system support challenges, and has hindered mobility because of the eligibility requirements that have made it difficult for management to determine which assignment type would apply to a given staff member.

oUsed PeopleSoft Application Engine (AE) to Monitor and Auto switch the FTP Server from Primary to Secondary if primary server goes down.

Webservice for VOIP Integration.

oAs the Frontend system, PeopleSoft has to display all the VOIP related info to the CSR console. Used Integration Broker (IB) over HTTP to parse the Request XML and send the Response synchronously.

Integration for Case Automation

oCustomer Electronic Services (CES) is used to Integrate PeopleSoft Case creation with the third party system over FTP and HTTP.

Batch Process for Uploading Billing Invoices.

oUsed PeopleSoft Application Engine (AE) to download files from Billing FTP to peoplesoft FTP, Process the file and upload the Invoices in a batch to a different FTP Server.

Launch of Knowledge Base Portal from PeopleSoft.

oSingle Sign on (SSO) Implementation for a third party tool which holds the solutions (Knowledge Base) for all the previous resolved PeopleSoft tickets.

Project Prequalification Phase-I.

oThe PreQualification System is used by the provisioning and sales departments to prequalify Customer sites for the installation of equipment and to provide services over various technologies at these sites. With the aim of automating the PreQualification process end-to-end, the Prequalification System achieves most of the steps an agent performs efficiently. A customized bolt-on Module is developed in PeopleSoft, Which uses Peoplecode HTML, Application Engine (AE) and Integration Broker (IB).

Service Objects Integration to validate the addresses of Sites and Companies

oAll the Addresses of Sites and Companies has to be validated by and correct address has to be obtained. PeopleCode and PeopleSoft Integration Broker (IB) are used to validate the Request and Response XMLs.

Real time scheduling of express repairs based on customers interaction

oPeopleSoft provides a flexibility to raise Dispatch from Case, Based on the warranty plan, the PeopleSoft dispatch is classified as Express Repair or Normal Repair. PeopleSoft Integration Broker (IB),PeopleCode, HTML

Installation re-scheduling and Repairs scheduling according to customers input.

oBased on the availability of Customer or Based or customer request, the Install/Repair dates can be changed by the CSR agent. The re-schedule/Install calendar is populated as a popup HTML and used.

Express Backup for sites which are down for more than 24hrs.

oExpress Backup is triggered in PeopleSoft using Application Packages, Record Field PeopleCode, to ensure that a new temporary site is created in PeopleSoft and all the services which are on the existing system should work on the Express Backup site.

oPeopleSoft CSR Console shows all the custom tools through which the CSR would can click and Lunch the other applications. Exclusive User Profile, Roles and Permission List.

Apple does various promotions for increasing the Sales and one of the approaches is by conducting marketing campaigns. The Leads obtained through these campaigns are captured in a specified template which can be directly imported in PeopleSoft through the Lead Import Process. PeopleSoft Delivered Lead Import Process is customized to accommodate the Apple related specifications.

Apple B2B Phoenix:

Apple is one of opulent organization and one among the fortune 500 companies. Their sales for customers (B2C) and organizations (B2B) is maintained differently. Apple B2B Online Store is moving to a new technical platform in order to support future growth, and expanded functionality. This Project is to implement the B2B Direct stores onto the new SAP platform, and retire the existing B2B Mercury platform. As a result an interface between SAP and PeopleSoft is needed to publish the new B2B Saved Carts created on the Phoenix Store (SAP Platform) to PeopleSoft.

Contribution

At offshore the PeopleSoft related development was done for this enhancement and I was part of it.

Prepared and used XSD’s and XML’s for integration with SAP Interfaces.

Developed API’s which are in line with the third party interfaces.

Developed AE to create the Leads based on the feeds received from the SAP interface.

Created processes, recurrences which are required for batch processing.
