Title: Design and numerical analysis

of aero spike nozzles with different

plug shapes to compare their

performance with a conventional

nozzle.

Description:

The objective of my project is to

demonstrate thrust advantage of a

small axisymmetric nozzle in

comparison with the equivalent CD

nozzle through numerical

simulation. Our results clearly

obtained that the aerospike nozzle is

capable of generating as much as

5% more thrust in over expander

condition. This amount of thrust is

valuable for a launch vehicle.
