Involved in planning and commissioning of CPAN Node / Ring in BSNL Tamil Nadu area to replace old MADM / DWDM systems which were working in linear mode . With commissioning of CPAN Node / Ring, the linear systems were converted to Ring Architecture which resulted in better latency and QOS.

Involved in migration of TAX Exchanges from PSTN to IP (NGN C4) Network. Successfully completed before target time of 120 TAX Exchanges to 32 Softswitches. Involved in complete planning / installation of NGN C4 Softswitch / Trunk Media Gateway . This has resulted in QOS through calls maturing with IP Network. Also the 120 legacy PSTN TAX Exchanges of E10B/OCB/EWSD make which were occupying huge space and consuming lot of power were reduced resulting in switch room reduction from 2000 sqft to 200 Sqft . The project involved training from vendor M/s ZTE and coordination with all the Telecom Circles of BSNL and BSNL corporate office New Delhi. I was also nominated as Member of Validation committee to accept the product by BSNL Corporate office. Also as specialist, as per BSNL Corporate office and Ministry of Communications instructions, delivered a lecture in ITU on NGN Network (IP Network) wherein senior telecom professional from 40 countries attended. The lecture was well received and personally received appreciation in this regard. As part of network installation coordinated with all Vendor M/s ZTE, M/s Huawei, M/s CDoT, M/s CDAC. All Engineers from the 32 Softswitch across BSNL Network, India were reporting to me.

As a Network Engineer, Involved in setting up of MPLS NOC at Bangalore for BSNL Connecting 320 Edge and Core Router locations for centralized configuration and maintenance (Cisco / Huawei / Juniper Routers).

The NGN Project was fully designed by myself right from IP Scheme, Selection of PSTN Switch Site for migration to IP based NGN TMG / LMG / Selection of Internet Gateway Controller site (IGC Gateway / Softswitch), Parenting of TMG to Softswitch and Parenting of LMG to Core Switch, Remote configuration and loading of 128 TMG sites across India from NOC Chennai / Core Bangalore in case of LMG. Attending to teething issues like FAX Fail / Data (Swipe Card) failure due to multivendor etc. The whole project was completed ahead of schedule and today the entire network is IP based including Mobile Switch (Node B) and all integrated to work on MPLS Core Network as Transport NW. Also coordination with MPLS Core NOC at Bangalore for Allowing / disallow of IP Pools, adding BGP Neighbours etc.
