Position : Started as an operator . Applied for welding technician in 2001 and was successful. Worked and trained in this field for 14 years.

Reason for leaving : I was offered a retrenchment package which I accepted.

Duties : Programming new weld jobs and maintaining weld integrity. Do basic maintenance to robots and welding systems. Train people in the correct use of robots and welding equipment. Improve on welding and cycle times. Create weld procedure specifications for different weld processes. Use C I tools to improve processes.

Experience: I am robot programmer familiar with motoman, abb and

Fanuc robots. Using these robots for welding and handling

applications . I am capable to do fault finding on these

systems and improve processes through continuous

improvement. Optimizing cycle times.

I am a welding technician qualified to do WPS/PQR

For different welds. Act as quality control for processes.

I am a welding inspector. Certified by the South African

Institute of welding -Welding Inspector/Fabricator level 1.

Jobs after retrenchment

I contracted at Faurecia 2016 till March 2018 dealing with their aftermarket production till they had the means and the space to move it to their production plant in Retreat. Then I had to program the aftermarket jobs to the new cell it will be running on and setup welding parameters for these jobs. Also did robot programming and process control at Faurecia supplier Precision Press.

In August 2018 I was contracted through Isilumko to work at NGK I was retrenched at NGK 29 November 2019.
