ATHLETIC ASSISTANT COACH

A well-respected multi-sport athletic assistant coach who will instruct the student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary to realize their individual and team success. Responsible for coordinating offenses and defenses. Coaching select positions, while at the same time, providing a foundation for integrity, pride of accomplishment, sportsmanship, self-discipline, goal setting, teamwork, and self-confidence.

Qualifications: Education Major-Western Governors University. High-level competitive playing experience. 8+ years of coaching experience. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work well with student athletes, parents, faculty/staff and the athletics department. Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the sport. Ability to motivate and provide positive leadership to the student athletes. Current First Aid/CPR certification.

Football defensive Coordinator

Summary:

• Manages the roster of the defensive players, overseeing the assistant coaches, developing the defensive game plan, and calling plays for the defense during the game.

• Manages multiple assistant coaches, each of whom are responsible for various defensive positions on the team.

• Assists with the coordination and overseeing admission criteria and eligibility certifications of each student athlete.

• Recruits and coordinates/assist the out-of-state recruiting efforts.
