I also assisted the circulator position the patient on the operating table and assist the surgeon and residents with placement of sterile gown and gloves. During surgery I assisted the surgeon and assistants with anticipating what instruments they might need, holding retractors, cutting suture, and counting needles, sponges, and instruments.
