Independently accomplished the specifying and requisitioning of all field instrumentation, P&ID development, and vendor review of equipment packages. Developed Control Narrative, Alarm & Trip List and Cause & Effects Diagrams.

Managed the instrumentation progress and schedule within budget.

Targa – Joyce Plant, in Rankin, TX. And Johnson Plant in Reagan, TX., both plants are 200-MMcfd Cryogenic Gas Plant

Accomplished the specified and requisitioned inline and field instrumentation, P&ID development and review of vendor package equipment collaborating with other disciplines.

Lead Instrument Engineer, Nov. 2011 to Apr 2017

Amec Foster Wheeler Oil & Gas, Inc. - Houston, TX.

Enterprise PDH - Mount Belvieu, TX

Stepped into and completed Requisitioning Engineer responsibilities. Resolved analyzer packages issues, bought additional instrumentation, control valves, safety valves and regulators. Updated and issued change orders, technical evaluations and completed final review of package vendor interfaces.

Discovered that the instrument index lacked critical data and utilized our offshore third party resources and our engineering teams to ensure all documents were completed to meet project requirements on time.

Tullow Oil Ghana - Accra, Ghana

Lead an integrated Project Team to develop a scope of work to increase the capacity of the FPSO from 95,000 bbl/d to 160,000 bbl/d including training local Ghanaian to work independently.

Established an office for local engineers to improve their crude offloading onto tankers, and provided for future gas export to shore.

Project Engineer/Lead Instrument Engineer, May 2003 to June 2007

KBR - Construction

PCO Oil, RIO Oil and Gas - Basra, Iraq

Accomplished the start-up of two NGL plants, two LPG and gas pumping station.

Built detailed estimates, scheduling, man-power loading, set-up project teams and coordinated work activities with local Iraqi team

Hired and trained Iraqi engineers to use computers for developing drawings, instrument indexes, data sheets and requisition packages as well as assessing the facilities and coordinating with plant managers and KBR home office.

Presented a PowerPoint presentation to the Iraqi Ministries of Oil on implementing Distributive Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) for updating their facilities.

My major accomplishments were that we got 2 NGL plants, 2 LPG plants and a pipeline pumps station up and running over the four years spent in Iraq. This was accomplished by working with expat plant services and construction E&I technicians to determine what instrumentation and electrical components were missing, broken or destroyed. Instruments were spec’d out, procured and installed in the field with complete new installations. This included control valves that could not control, transmitters that had to be replaced & calibrated using hand communicators, and “Transmation” calibration equipment for all the instruments. Loops were shot from the control room and commissioned as we worked thru the P&IDs at the different facilities.
