Utilities and Facilities Engineer
Job Description:
Led the Start-up of the Power Generation Systems (2 Gas Generators and 2 Diesel Generators, their Auxiliaries, Gas Supply Network and Diesel Farmyard.)
Developed Systems (Autonomous Maintenance-AM, Progressive Maintenance-PM and Spare Part Management) that seamlessly migrated the Power Generation Systems from Commissioning Phase to Operational Phase.
Manage Operation and Maintenance of Gas and Diesel Generator Systems which are the sources of power supply to the Production.
Manage Operation and Carry-out Routine Checks on HVAC System and Cooling Tower to condition Production Lines.
Manage Operation and Carry-out Routine Checks on Air Compressors to produce quality Compressed Air that will energize the Production Lines.
Manage Operation and Carry-out Routine Checks on Site Water Treatment Plant to provide clean and quality water for Site Operation.
Execute Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Progressive Maintenance (PM) on Diesel and Gas Generators to ensure the Generators are in base condition and ensure continuous Operation.
Set up standards that restore equipment back to base condition using necessary tools from Integrated Work System (IWS) otherwise known as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Provide right Maintenance Strategies to prevent breakdown on Diesel and Gas Generators and to ensure high level Equipment Reliability.
Manage the safety stock of Utility spare parts (Stock Management)
Create a tracking system that captures failure or breakdown on Utilities equipment.
Analyze failure and breakdown to discover the root cause using Loss Elimination/Loss Analysis (LE/LA), to prevent repeated failure and breakdown, to implement countermeasure and achieve Result Sustainably.
Ensure Sustainable Process Reliability of both Gas and Diesel Generators to help the plant deliver her Production target.
Proactive on Utility equipment breakdown to ensure 100% Equipment Reliability.
Ensure sustainable process reliability of these engine to help the plant deliver her Production target.
Manage the supply of Gas and Diesel fuel to support the continuous Power Generation to the whole site.
Prepare, Analyze and Report Monthly Consumption of Gas and Diesel to the Management.
Ensure Zero Downtime to the Production Plant due to Gas and Diesel availability.
Ensure that Our Gas and Diesel Suppliers payment documents are timely processed.
Drive Air Emission System for Utilities Department to ensure Zero Notification from Regulatory Bodies on Air Emission System.
Drive the C.I.L. (Clean, Inspect and Lubricate) System for Utilities Department. A system to keep all Utilities Equipment in base condition with zero defect.
Manage Work Permit for Contractors working in Utility Area and ensure their activities is in accordance with Site Safety Standards.
Participate as a member of Site Emergency Team that is saddled with the responsibility to ensure safe operation and response whenever there is any emergency to protect lives and properties. Some of the activities I do includes (a) to provide First Aid services, (b) to response to any Fire outbreak by Ensuring Fire Pump start as at when due and (c) Ensure Fire Hydrant is Channel to point of incident (d) Participate in Head count at Assembly Point. (e) Participate in Routine checks of Fire Hydrant.
Work with Site Emergency Team to set up Site Emergency Response which has helped Site to manage all Emergency situation. Participate as a member of Site Vibrant Team. A Team that is saddled with the responsibility of Organizational engagement Programmes such as Medical check-up like Sugar level, cholesterol level, Blood pressure checks etc. The team also ensure Staff planned time to visit Site Gym Centre and Sport Centre to participate in different exercises which help them to get fit and healthy to deliver the breakthrough result.
