- Provide scoping and AFE cost estimates for 20+ new drill prospects and well abandonments, totaling over $136MM
- Manage well permitting, and preparation of drilling and sidetrack procedures
- Managed two on-site well construction operations in West Delta field as wellsite supervisor in the Gulf of Mexico
- Composed End-of-Well (EOW) reports for 7 wells drilled over the past 3 years, including cost versus depth, days versus depth, scope changes, lessons learned and AFE versus actual analyses
· Project development
- Led data research project to forecast differential sticking risk and stuck pipe remediation. Result: roughly 86% accuracy in predicting differentially stuck pipe, and improved AFE cost estimate accuracy by 20% for development and 92% for exploratory wells when applied to future projects
- Developed fully operational Excel VBA program to automate wellbore schematic drafting, reducing time required by up to half
- Built database of actual jack-up rig performance history to improve AFE time and cost accuracy; cataloged 44 rigs, 17 rig designs, across 163 locations and 11 major fields in the Gulf of Mexico
· Planning
- Authored drilling department best-practice operations manual and set standards for StressCheck casing design software; no previous documents of this kind existed
