I’m currently enrolled in the ECCC Electrical Lineman Program. In this program I have achieved the following skills to excel in this career: climbing poles and utilize bucket attached to truck mounted boom to construct, maintain, and repair distribution power lines, assist with installing transformers, lightening arrestors, cutouts, cross-arms, insulators, switches and switchgear, operate heavy equipment used in powerline construction, perform preventive maintenance on bucket truck and digger, perform basic bucket rescue/escape, drive and operate bucket truck, digger, trencher to frame and set poles, lay wire, tie wire, and perform all of these duties in a safely and timely manner.

Mix chemicals into pits.

Transfer mud from frag tanks to pits.

Open and closing valves to align transfer mud to trip tanks or pit.

Work on pumps.

Operate forklift

Check viscosity of the mud.

Weigh mud and add barite to mud.

Use diesel/water to cut mud weight.

Change water and inspect mud pumps daily.

Floor Hand
