I was employed as Branch Manager at the Johannesburg Branch. I reported directly to the Company Director. My responsibilities Included but were not limited to the following:
• Control of all Johannesburg files – currently a total of 3105 files (Jhb branch) consisting of Trial matters and non-trial matters
• Ensuring that new instructions are acknowledged and that the necessary notices are compiled, served and filed according to the Service level Agreement from our Client, the RAF.
• Ensuring compliance with regard to the Litigation Management System (LMS) as per the Service Level Agreement.
• Delegating of files to the necessary departments in order to prepare the file for future trial ensuring full compliance with our SLA.
• Ensuring that the necessary experts have been appointed on all matters and strict control thereof.
• Attending to all alleged SLA breaches received from our client. And the response thereof to RAF.
• Liaising and attending all seminars and training sessions provided by the RAF with regards to LMS as well as Court Rules.
• Ensuring that all files are prepared and are trial ready three months prior to the trial dates.
• Managing employees in my department which at present is a total of eleven litigation support staff members.
• Constant liaison with Attorneys on their allocated matters to ensure their files are trial ready.
• Identifying any fraudulent claims and the reporting thereof to RAF forensics.
• Compilation of monthly reports and other reports required by Management.
• Compilation of Audits as requested by RAF.
