I was tapped by CIO to lead PSAV’s global Software engineering team. This was a turnaround situation with a broken IT group and an aged IT environment.

Unite, Transform and Lead Purpose Driven Team – Streamlined Software Engineering team into Business Analytics & Data Science, Digital Apps, Digital API & Integration, TRUE DevSecOps; introduced Product & Platform as segregation of duties (SOD) to achieve agility and scalability.

• Global team with $9M+ P&L is now responsible for digitalizing company’s inquiry to invoice-related business processes and delivery of digital products.

Delivering ROI Through Advanced Analytics – Implemented AI-powered Business Analytics and ML -based Data Science (DSML) platform from scratch which now directly supporting business activities such as decision making, strategic planning, forecasting, process automation, cost optimization besides business review reporting with the board, the owners, and the executives.

• DSML improved the agility of data workloads by 60%, reducing time-to-insight by 40%.

• DSML empowered us to speed to market in March 2020, Covid-19 forced Pandemic Analytics, to include updates to existing predictive models to incorporate new external data (COVID-19 cases, Google/Apple Mobility, Air traffic) and also deprioritize older historical data to first prioritize recent business activity data.

I was tapped by Mercer Global IT leadership team to lead and deliver a business intelligence solution for an EE Health and Benefit LoB (Line of Business). Program was a fresh initiative to consolidate various IT groups into one Global IT organization within Mercer. I was responsible for leading Analytics - Center of Excellence (CoE), SOW Delivery, and Vendor enablement. This position also required regular interactions with LoB CIO and Product owners.

Product was one of the fastest go-live in company history (from inception to release in its first year).

Challenging team dynamics: 7 different scrum teams in 7 different locations, split by functional areas.

Designed and developed Mercer’s first-ever cloud-based Data warehouse, dashboards, and reports.
