Aerospace Medical Technician
Clinical Lead and Member of the 460th Air Force Medical Group Pediatrics Clinic
●Pediatric specialist with knowledge of trauma/medical response protocols, therapy, cardiac emergency care, and patient administration. Student preceptor for new physicians, nurses, and medical technicians new to clinical settings. Assisted pediatrician with minor surgeries, lab work, physicals, and preventive health services. Aeromedical Evacuation Technician Flight Instructor
Training Instructor and Active Flight Medic of the 18th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron
Flight medic; providing long-range patient movements in and out of Asia. Operating on five military fixed-wing aircraft with ability to embed with specialized U.S./foreign military medical and aviation teams. Staged 24/7 to provide live mission support, contingency response, POTUS support and assist with humanitarian efforts. 500 hours of documented flight time.
Simulation operator; provides oversight and facilitation for all simulation operational aspects of the medical training facility for the 18th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. Manages daily operations, facilitates medical simulation training, contributes to the design, development, testing, and implementation of training material and scenarios. Coordinates/schedules training with members of the 18th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, 18th Medical Group, local DOD medical units, as well members of the Japanese Defense Force.
IT and medical equipment custodian; responsible for maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting of part-task trainers, mannequin-based simulators, associated computer hardware, software and audiovisual equipment. Conducts orientation to the simulation center, various mannequin simulators, and accompanying equipment. Updates locations and maintenance of equipment via “live” trackers.
Flight Instructor; instructs new flight nurses/technicians on operations in Pacific region to include administrative, operational, and contingency roles. Provides feedback and remedial training if needed while tracking data in aviation-based software. Emphasizes safety, critical thinking, and efficiency due to geographical restrictions and threats.
