Evaluate, disassemble, repair, overhaul, modify and perform final buildup of Army and Cross-service aircraft turbine engine compressor assemblies as required.
Stamping and certifying the shop traveler and verifying that other shop workers have stamped certified the shop traveler for work done prior to selling the final product to an inspector.
Dimensional checks
Repair and overhaul of compressors to perform maintenance and repair tasks necessary to return turbine engines to serviceable condition at field activities.
Mechanical systems to assemble parts to close tolerances.
Diagnose problems such as locating nicks or burrs in machined surfaces, which force assemblies out of alignment or improper size of parts.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with people of diverse education and technical backgrounds.
Variety of precision measuring devices such as a dial indicator, pressure gauge, go-no-go gauges, depth gauges, inside and outside micrometers, bore gauges.
Prep the compressor case, rotor and the other parts on the final table.
Prep for different shops such as (cleaning, machine, metal spray and welding).

Disassemble the following aircraft engines, T-700, T-701c, T-700d and the T-55. This includes all parts, components and accessories for restoration purposes.
Disassembling the engines and the parts in accordance to PSA instructions to prepare the engine for test (OCM).
Assist PSA with aircraft inspection of the parts and components by verifying correct serial number, part numbers and visually examine parts for dents, scratches, corrosion or other damage that exceeds allowable tolerances.
Overhaul, repair, modification, fabrication, manufacturing and other processing on aircraft and/or aircraft parts, components, subassembly and aircraft assembly. I use various tools that include hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers.
Proficient with power tools such as pneumatic ratchet and impact gun, speed control ratchet.
Visually check items for obvious wear, cracks, nicks, burrs, and other surface defects.
Use of solvents, brushes, buffers, scouring pads to clean or sand surface, replacing plugs, nuts, gaskets, and safety wiring. I have used lifting, carrying and holding devices to hold materials in position during assembly or fabrication processes. I have used templates to cut materials that are needed.
Fastened parts together by using bolts, rivets, and screws, taking measurements, tagging, sorting or binding material/part. I have done cleaning around work areas and lubricating shop equipment, I also used various production shop equipment, hand tools, measuring devices, and power tools.
Performed borescope inspections using precision measurement equipment, tooling and specialized tools.
F.O.D prevention, TQM, housekeeping, applied safety and health policy regulations, surety tool control and operate overhead and mechanized equipment.
Cleaned and degreased aircraft engine, transmission, and accessory parts.
Inspect parts and equipment for cleanliness, damage to ensue finished product follows army aviation standards and regulations as proscribed in DMWRS (Depot Maintenance Work Requirements), shop travelers and maintenance manuals.
Scrubbed, scraped, and spray machine parts and equipment, utilizing various tools such as scrapers, brushes, cleaning cloths, cleansers, disinfectants, acids, abrasives, vacuums and high-pressure water and air hose. I have routinely operated industrial washers utilizing steam pressure degreaser solution, and authorized solvents to remove dirt, grease, and aircraft paint form aircraft engine and transmission parts.
Media bead blasting machines to remove paint, rust, carbon, corrosion, dirt, and foreign substances form components, parts and accessories
Rinsed aircraft parts and place them on drying rack and I use cloth, squeegees, or high-pressure air compressors to dry surfaces. I have operated equipment valves to regulate pressure and flow of water, air, steam, and abrasives form sprayer nozzles, pre-soaked or rinsed machine parts and equipment by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water.
Lubricated moving parts on machinery and equipment and I carefully read all requirements and procedures listed on the traveler prior to beginning the required processes to ensure that the work is done correctly and that no rework is required.

Stock, order and inventory parts received.
Prepare requisitions for repairable, parts and other materials required meeting production shop work schedules, bases on allowable stock levels, usage rate, and projected workload.
Receive materials, parts ordered or to be reworked.
Examine items received to verify identity, quantity and work order numbers.
After inventorying parts or materials received I refer unsolved shortages to production manager and the supervisor.
Loading/ Unloading
After shortage issues have occurred, I prepare documents to return unneeded items to supplier. After proper documentation has been formulated, we use proper material handling equipment to transport materials and items to the correct location.
During assembly, we lubricate and test the component for cracks, nicks and other surface defects on the transmission shafts to provide a safe and good working product.
Troubleshoot and replace spark plugs, and gaskets
Install grease fittings and other related hardware.
Troubleshooting engines using diagnostic test equipment and technical manuals.
