PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Performance Analysis of Optical Amplifier (EDFA) in Telecommunication System: Optical fiber communication is the best for transmitting data at a high rate and also best way to increase the data even higher.
Erbium-doped fiber amplifiers are the by far most important fiber amplifier in the context of long range optical fiber communications as they can efficiently amplify the light. In this project, the performance of EDFA is analyzed with respect to temperature changes and also its Noise figure responses with respect to BER, quality factor and eye height. Opti system version7.0 is the tool used for simulation. Brain tumor detection using soft computational technique: Image processing Image processing is a method to perform some operations on an image, in order to get an enhanced image or to extract some useful information from it. It aims to develop a hybrid image evaluation technique to assess the brain abnormality
(Tumor/Stroke) using the two-dimensional (2D) MRI slices. This tool aims to implement A skull stripping procedure to eliminate the skull section, An image thresholding scheme based on Kapur’s Entropy and Harmony-Search-Optimization to enhance the abnormal brain section, A watershed segmentation technique to extract the abnormal
(Tumor/Stroke) region from the 2D MRI slice, A relative evaluation between the Ground Truth and the extracted Tumor/Stroke section to confirm the superiority of proposed technique. Matlab version 7.0 is used for simulation. Cluster head selection in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs): Wireless Sensor Network play a role in connecting across sensors, they help in sending and receiving data from sensors.
This focuses on an efficient CH election scheme that rotates the CH position among the nodes with higher energy level as compared to the other. The algorithm considers initial energy, residual energy and an optimum value of CHs to elect the next group of CHs for the network that suits for IoT applications.
