PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS IN IAF (Indian Air Force) (1978-1999)

During the tenure as Station Commander at AF Station Thanjavur initiated a unique married Accommodation Project for Officers, Airmen, NCs (E) and Military Engineering Service personnel.

Instrumental in designing the Runway re construction, master plan, zonal plans, contour maps, Preparation of long term, short term and annual perspective plan, evolving the conceptual project report and effectively monitored the progress of the turn key projects from the conception to its completion. Effectively coordinated with all agencies involved in the process. This was the first project to be completed and taken over by the Air Force in record time. In Addition, Works services for the construction of Operations Complex, Air Craft parking (Construction of Tarmac) at the cost of R 7. 658 crores,

Projects relating to the construction of Runways, Officers' Mess, Senior NCOs' Mess, Air Men Mess, DSC Mess, Station Sports Complex, Shifting of EHT/HT lines, Construction of Telephone Exchange were planned, prepared the line plan. Funds were procured in time and monitored the progress of infrastructure development works from HQ SAC, IAF for their timely completion. Total Cost of the project was more than 60 crores during 05-08.

Prepared the Plan, estimate, evaluated the Pavement Classification number, for the runway reconstruction, Air Field lighting for the CCS/MOD approval.

During the tenures as the Command Works officer, managed various works/ projects worth more than 500 crores each financial year at Command level for 50 to 60 IAF stations

Similarly, prepared the layout and estimate for the reconstruction of the Aircraft Parking space and creation of a Command sports complex at Trivandrum.
