Gathered real time data and layout of the facility to develop a Discrete Event Simulation Model, using AnyLogic software; the simulation revealed the current roaster was the main bottleneck. After conducting several different predicative simulations, recommendation was to invest in a pre-roaster, which cut roasting cycle time by 20% and improved overall production by 9% to 21%. ü Due to remodeling of the grocery and fresh food departments, revenue within those two departments declined 20% in comparison to the previous year. To ameliorate the negative impacts of the store remodel, temporary refrigerators were ordered and stocked up with the highest demand products. Service & Mfg Systems Modeling, CSU Eastbay, Hayward, CA Internal Combustion Engines vs Electric Motors: Performed a comprehensive quantitative analysis for the total system of electrical vehicles and internal combustion vehicles, including their cost and environmental impact. This involved applying engineering methods: Forecasting, Economic Analysis, and a House of Quality. Using QM we showcased 2 period vs 3 period for the moving averages and compared the R squared and MAPE for linear regression. We concluded that energy storage was a real problem and like oil, lithium is a finite resource that isn't sustainable moving forward. Service & Mfg Systems Modeling, CSU Eastbay, Hayward, CA Housing Market Forecast: Applied three Forecasting methods: moving averages, multiplicative seasonal, and exponential smoothing for each season over two years. We were able to utilize these methods by using QM. Spring’s average cost was the highest of among the four seasons. Our best forecasting results came from exponential smoothing which had the smallest MAD value. Estimated cost or profit with three decision alternatives with three states of nature. Evaluated our decision under risk and uncertainty.

Design of Engineering Experiments, CSU Eastbay, Hayward, CA Gun Violence in the United States: Demonstrated the application of quantitative analysis and techniques. We took the analytical approaches: One-Way Anova, Blocking method, and Two -Sample T-Test. We utilized these methods by using Minitab. In each of the three test that we conducted, at a 95% confidence level we failed to reject the null hypothesis that the mean rates were simply based on the number of gun laws in a state. Facility Planning, Design & Materials, CSU Eastbay, Hayward, CA Material Recovery Facility: Demonstrated facility planning, design, and material knowledge in order to build a functional Material recovery facility. Extensive research was done in order to be as accurate as possible when building our facility.
