Professional Experience
VP of Organizational Effectiveness, Bidwell Optometry (January 2015-2019)
In 2015, my wife and I purchased a private medical practice in Folsom, California. My wife is the optometrist, and I manage all growth and health aspects of the practice. To enable the doctors to focus on patient care, I oversee marketing, staff productivity, customer service, and office processes. Since taking ownership, we have increased the practices annual gross by 62%, the practices’ highest in 36 years. My primary focus has been restructuring the scheduling and appointment process to increase revenue and workflow throughout the week, and to work with staff to ensure we have the right individuals in the right roles. I have also been primarily responsible for improving partner satisfaction, which typically involves working with dissatisfied patients and challenges presented by companies we work with. Since taking ownership, Bidwell Optometry has won In Style’s “Best Optometry Practice” four years in a row.
Pastoral/Leadership (June 2001-April 2019)
For eighteen years now I have served large churches in the Sacramento area. This is a highly competitive and results oriented market. It takes a great deal of creativity and perseverance to succeed in a market with an 80% failure rate. Not only have I thrived in a high-pressure atmosphere, but I have done so with multiple commitments. From 2009-2018, I grew a large church in a very diverse region of Sacramento, excelled in a highly challenging master’s program, and served on the PTA at my daughter’s school. I have proven that I can handle multiple challenges simultaneously, while maintaining crucial relationships.
